Don't know how to WIRE All together

Postby vlatkop » Fri Jul 13, 2012 6:35 pm

Hello PMINMO.COM
I have questions for 5axis Interface
I've just made one and I need to wire up with everything else, and the problems appears
:D
I've read it all the post's I think and I steal can't understand sorry
On this picture
http://pminmo.com/PMinMOwiki/index.php5 ... uthelp.PNG
under IC1 (7805) are VDC (12v in my case, filtered later thru 7805 for 5v), GND connection,
I know that another connections are for limit switches, ESTOP, relay on/off control and PC connection thru db25.
I don't understand how to wire all those switches and relay control of spindle motor...
Please make detail picture or explanation because I have read this page
http://pminmo.com/PMinMOwiki/index.php5 ... t_switches
and steal I did not understand.
Specially relay connecting on the board.
Please Help me
I'll be grateful
I am using Mach3 and via pin14 on my LPT I have logic 0 when enable is off and logic 1 (5v) when enable is on
will I need to replace Resistor R8 with short connection to activate my 5V relay directly from my pc thru X5-2 AUX1 and GND, or I should leave resistor R9 via pin10 and GND, or maybe I can control via pin1 with JP7.... I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW TO WIRE ALL THOSE CONNECTIONS!
please someone help!

useful information's
JP7 on place
JP6 GND-pin14

Kind regard
Vladimir

:S
Phil I wire all together and I notice that relay is always activated and LED2 is ON.
I have jp7 and jp6 pin14 to gnd
If I control my spindle on off with that relay I will have spindle on all the time when power is applied to interface.
Shouldn't be spindle off when reset button is off (blinking)?
Mach3 setup is exactly same as its shown here http://pminmo.com/PMinMOwiki/index.php5 ... ACH3_setup

Also when I close X, Y or Z home switch nothing changes on LED3,4,5 or 6
Kill switch or Limit switches also nothing changes on LED's 3,4,5 or 6

Diodes D1, D2, and D3 are with wrong orientation, or what. In my understanding they should connect X3-2 V+ with IC1(in pin).
I am confused really.

That setup file isn't for the 5 axis interface.
But that won't have any affect on LEDs 3,4,5,6 lighting. You should be able to put a jumper wire from X4-2 and any other pin on X4, X2, X1 and see the associated LED illuminate. If not you either don't have 5V or the leds are installed backwards.

D1, D2 & D3 are in the correct way..they are Zener diodes.

OK thanks
Can I activate my relay with the setup of mach3 enable button thru pin 1?
And how!?
(You was right for diodes, I missed that :) sorry)
Best regards

http://pminmo.com/PMinMOwiki/index.php5?title=5axis Look at the link that says DIY5axis.xml It's setup for you, has been there all along.... Download it and instert it in the MACH3 directory and use the MACH3 loader to selet it.
